We were asked to create an explainer for the UK Lobbying Register, a new initiative to promote a greater level of transparency and accountability when influencing policy.
The Chartered Institute for Public Relations (CIPR) is the only Chartered PR organisation in the world. It works to create a more professional and accountable profession that benefits everyone in society. In 2023 CIPR launched a campaigned to improve transparency, ethical practice and accountability in the lobbying industry and the creation of a new lobbying register to capture lobbying activity which currently takes place undisclosed.
We were asked to create this animated piece to introduce the lobbying register, explain it's purpose and how it works.
